Equator City was a the biggest city and former capital of Rodia located on the Betu continent, at the latitute of the equator.
It was the Rodian capital until Navik the Red became the Grand Protector and moved the seat of power to his ancestral city of Iskaayuma; he also purged the political influence of the former government based in Equator City.[2]
Much of the city was controlled by criminal organizations.[2] It had a gambling complex operated by the part of the cartel that was dedicated to money laundering, controlled by Black Sun. The Flip of the Credit casino was also based there.[3] The city was also home to the prestigious concert hall known as the Holosseum in which holostar Javul Charn performed in 2 BBY.[4]
It had one of the four legal spaceports on the planet.[2]
