The EnhanceScan 3.1 was a type of EnhanceScan general purpose scanner manufactured by CryonCorp.[1] In 9 ABY,[3] it was used by Mandalorian Sabine Wren as she searched the grasslands of the planet Peridea for Ezra Bridger.[4] The only things she had with her were basic supplies and her howler. Wren used this simple but effective long-range scanner to search the area and locate signs of life.[1] However, the Bandits of Peridea destroyed the scanner.[4]
Behind the scenes
The EnhanceScan 3.1 first appeared, albeit unnamed, in sixth episode of the Star Wars: Ahsoka television series, "Part Six: Far, Far Away, released on September 19, 2023[5] and directed by Jennifer Getzinger.[6] It was later identified in the Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy, released in 2024.[1]

"A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 dates the events of "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Star Wars: Timelines. Preceding episodes, also take place in that year, since they take place after Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, which is dated to 9 ABY according to Timelines. As "Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord" takes place shortly after Part Seven, the events of Ahsoka as a whole must all take place within the same year.
