An energy envelope projector was a specialized energy shield generator that was installed on proton torpedos and concussion missiles. The projectors encased the projectiles in an energy shroud during flight.

Description

Projectiles such as the Krupx Munitions MG7-A proton torpedo and the Arakyd Industries ST2 concussion missile had multiple energy envelope projectors. When launched, the projectiles were sheathed in a protective energy shroud by the projectors. This weak energy shield protected the projectile from being prematurely detonated by collisions with space debris or near misses from laser cannons.[1] The energy shroud, combined with the speed of the projectile, made missiles appear much more like blasts from a laser cannon.[2]
