The Endor Forest Ranger was a repulsorlift vehicle used by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire.[1] With its unique gravity-controlled cockpit capable of supporting a single pilot, the vehicle was designed for maneuvering through the forests of the Sanctuary Moon of Endor,[2] where in 4 ABY the Alliance fought the Battle of Endor against the Empire.[3] The Endor Forest Ranger had two gyroscopic wings and a large blaster cannon on each side.[1]
Behind the scenes
In 1984, Kenner created the Endor Forest Ranger for the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi toy line. The packaging and assembly instructions showed the craft being Rebel commando–operated.[2] In 1985,[4] Marvel Comics' New Mutants Special Edition #1 replicated the Endor Forest Ranger's design[1] when the character Warlock briefly transforms himself into a vehicle.[5]
