The Endar Rebirth was a Republic survey vessel in service during the Cold War. It was the first ship to investigate Taris, devastated by orbital bombardment three centuries previous, as a candidate for resettlement by the Republic.
The ship was later destroyed over Taris, with only a handful of its crew escaping to the planet below. The survivors lived in the wilderness for five years before being rescued by Republic agents.[2]

The Endar Rebirth was first mentioned in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, serving as part of the backstory for a quest on the planet Taris. No details concerning the vessel's class or history beyond its destruction were given.[2]
