- "They shoot yellow flames from their mouths, which are usually hot enough to melt nearly any organic material, except for heat-resistant Elphronian crystals."
- ―Ardis San Tekka, in her journal
Elphronian crystals were a type of heat-resistant crystal found on the planet Elphrona.[1] No earlier than 35 ABY,[2] Ardis San Tekka, the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts's Director of Creature Cartography, compiled a journal about various non-sentient creatures. Within the journal, San Tekka noted that the flames charhounds shot from their mouths were usually hot enough to melt nearly any organic material, except for Elphronian crystals.[1]
Behind the scenes
Elphronian crystals were first identified in Star Wars Bestiary, Vol. 1: Creatures of the Galaxy, a 2024 reference book written by S.T. Bende.[1]
