The Elin Roe system was situated in the Colonies[1] and contained the terrestrial celestial body Elin Roe as well as its moons, of which there were at least five.[2] During the Galactic Civil War, the Interceptor, a Guardian-class light cruiser of the Imperial Office of Customs under the command of Captain Hallyn Phlynne, performed spot checks on starships traveling through the star system.[3]

At some point by the time shortly after the Battle of Yavin, during a pursuit of a bounty target on Elin Roe, bounty hunter team known as the Yagaran Four activated the dangerously modified hyperdrive of their YT-1300 light freighter. The starship then exploded, killing the Yagaran Four and emitting a cloud of radioactive dust that washed over Elin Roe's fifth moon.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Elin Roe system was introduced in an installment of the '"Smuggler's Log" series of roleplaying source articles that was authored by Peter Schweighofer for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in the May 1994 second issue of West End Games' Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the system in grid square N-12.[1]
