Elin Roe's fifth moon was a natural satellite[2] located in the Colonies.[1] It was the fifth moon orbiting the celestial body Elin Roe[2] of the Elin Roe system.[1] At some point by the time shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the Yagaran Four bounty hunter team pursued on Elin Roe a target on which a bounty had been posted. During the chase, the team activated the hyperdrive of their YT-1300 light freighter. However, the drive unit, which had previously been subjected to a dangerous modification by the mechanic known as "Maniac," exploded, killing the Yagaran Four and emitting a cloud of radioactive dust that washed over the fifth moon of Elin Roe. Maniac was subsequently credited with the minor-scale disaster.[2]
Behind the scenes
Elin Roe's fifth moon was created by Peter Schweighofer and was introduced in Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a 1994 West End Games sourcebook published for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Elin Roe system, and therefore the moon, in grid square N-12.[1]
