- "THE MANDALORIANS HAVE RETRACTED THEIR EFFLUX BAFFLES IN ORDER TO PURSUE."
- ―Ninette, to Ben Skywalker and Tahiri Veila.
An efflux baffle was a starship component used to mask the vessel's exhaust. When deployed, efflux baffles made a starship harder for others to detect, at the cost of reduced speed and maneuverability. In 45 ABY, Bes'uliik starfighters employed by Mandalorian mercenaries working for the corporation Galactic Exploitation Technologies in the Chiloon Rift were equipped with efflux baffles.[1]
Behind the scenes
Efflux baffles appeared in the 2013 Star Wars Legends novel Crucible, written by Troy Denning.[1]
