The EV motivator was a model of motivator that MerenData intended to install in their EV-series supervisor droid.[1] However, an employee substituted a case of EV motivators with a case of MDF motivators that were meant to be installed in torture droids. The result was a large number of EV-series supervisor droids developed personalities that were described as "ruthless," "vicious," and "psychotic."[2] The affected droids were recalled by MerenData to exchange the motivators.[3]
