EG-4 was a power droid owned by the Rebel Alliance. It was donated to the Alliance by the Bothan underground, and had a rough design and specially-modified power sockets mounted on top of its chassis.It was stationed at Echo Base around the time of the Battle of Hoth.[1] EG-4 was present alongside other droids when Han Solo returned from his unsuccessful search for Luke Skywalker outside the base.
