Duroreed was a type of brown reed used in the construction of duroreed internode armor. During the High Republic Era, the Sith assassin Mae-ho Aniseya wore a set of duroreed internode armor with two bands of duroreed over her torso.[1] In 132 BBY,[2] she wore the armor during the murder of Jedi Master Indara on[3] the planet Ueda,[1] the murder of Jedi Master Torbin on[4] the planet Olega[1] and subsequent fight against Jedi Master Sol there,[4] and then on[5] the planet[1] Khofar, where she initially intended to fight Jedi Master Kelnacca[5] but ultimately abandoned the armor to disguised herself as her twin sister, Verosha Aniseya.[6]

Duroreed first appeared in "Lost / Found,"[3] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[7] It was first identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
