In 9 BBY,^[2] a final lightsaber duel was fought between Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and fallen Jedi Bode Akuna in the Jedi Temple on the planet Tanalorr. The Nightsister Merrin fought alongside Kestis against Akuna. The duel ended with Akuna's death and the acquisition of the compass that showed the way to Tanalorr through the nebula Koboh Abyss, which allowed the preparation of Tanalorr for use by the Hidden Path underground network.^[1]
