The druggat was one of the many forms of currency used on Tatooine in the final years of the Galactic Republic. Fifty druggats was the deal made between Watto and Qui-Gon Jinn for the T-14 hyperdrive generator when the Naboo ship carrying Queen Padmé Amidala was stranded on Tatooine due to serious damage.
Korlo Brightwater, a member of the the renegade stormtroop group that called itself the Hand of Judgment, carried one for luck which a grateful farmer had given to him . He lost it after he gave his utility belt to Luke Skywalker.
