Dreryn was a Arcona officer who lived during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, Dreryn worked on Tansarii Point Station, a space station near the planet Ord Mantell, in the Bright Jewel system.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] he secretly supervised the transport of a valuable shipment,[1] likely a cargo stolen from an Imperial ship in transit to Coruscant.[3]

Behind the scenes

Dreryn appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] Dreryn was added to the game as part of the "New Player Tutorial,"[1] introduced with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[5] Unused game files indicated that Officer Dreryn was intended to be involved in one of Rydel Delan's cut quests.[6]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
