Drearian Defense Conglomerate, sometime shortened to DDC, was a respected weapons manufacturing company.[2] One of their products was the Satine's Lament model of Defender sporting blaster pistol, which was named for Satine Kryze, the Duchess of the planet Mandalore during the Clone Wars. The model was popular with nobility and aristocrats, and Princess Leia Organa used one during the Galactic Civil War.[1]
Behind the scenes
Drearian Defense Conglomerate was first mentioned in the Star Wars Legends rule book Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition written by Bill Smith and released in 1992 for West End Games. The company was made canon by the reference book Ultimate Star Wars, which was released in 2015.
