"Other pirates at large include "Silver-fin Bollas", the "Dread Triplets", and the notorious "Big Muhh". Clearly the satraps have been negligent in their duty to keep the Akiva system free from brigandry and safe for Imperial commerce."
―An Imperial report on piracy in the Akiva system[1]

The Dread Triplets were pirates who operated on the Outer Rim jungle planet Akiva during the reign of the Galactic Empire. They were included in an Imperial report of piracy in the Akiva system that had been stored at Imperial Research Station 57 on Akiva[1] by 3 ABY.[2] In the report, they were listed as still at large along with fellow pirates Silver-fin Bollas and Big Muhh. The report went on to blame the local satrapy government for failing to prevent privacy in the Akiva system.[1] Around 3 ABY,[2] while the human thief Kay Vess was looking for information about the whereabouts of a different pirate named Qorvino at Research Station 57, she accessed the report mentioning the Dread Triplets.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Dread Triplets was mentioned on a data entry in the "A Pirate's Fortune" story expansion of the video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft[1] on May 15, 2025.[3] Viewing the data entry that mentions the triplets is a required step of the expansion's first main quest, "A Pirate's Plight." Starting the story expansion quest requires players to have completed the game's base story. As such, this article assumes completion of the base game story and completion of the "A Pirate's Plight" quest in the "A Pirate's Fortune" story expansion.[1]

Per narrative director Navid Khavari's comments, the game's "A Pirate's Fortune" DLC chronologically occurs immediately after the end of Outlaws's main events, meaning the DLC must have taken place around that year.
