- "You are quite right, Master. Your Doxxen tea is two degrees too warm. I shall take it out into the blinding snowstorm to allow it to cool."
- ―KL-6TLF7V/T, to Crying Dawn Singer
Doxxen tea[3] originated in[2] the Outer Rim Territories' Doxxen system.[1] At one point, the capricious Shashay singer known as Crying Dawn Singer was about to drink Doxxen tea while a snowstorm was raging outside. The Shashay pointed out to KL-6TLF7V/T, his valet/translator droid, that the beverage was too warm. In response, the droid confirmed that the Doxxen tea was indeed two degrees too warm for consumption and offered to take the drink out into the storm so that it would cool.[3]
Behind the scenes
Doxxen tea was introduced in The Abduction, a 1992 roleplaying adventure authored by Chuck Truett and published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Doxxen tea in relation to the Doxxen system.
