Double viol

A double viol was a stringed musical instrument, consisting of two hollow resonating boxes separated by a shaft with tonal cords strung on it. It was the favored musical instrument of Tionne Solusar, who took her grandmother's double viol with her while fleeing Rindao.

Solusar was able to make a living performing on the instrument at Cantinas and, in return, asked patrons to share any knowledge they had of the former Jedi Order. This eventually led to her meeting with Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker and becoming a Jedi Knight herself.

At the Jedi Academy, she would often teach trainees through her songs, while accompanying herself on the instrument.
