Docking Bay 329 was a docking bay constructed in the western hemisphere of the Galactic Empire's Death Star superweapon, falling under the control of Station Control West.[2] When, in the year 0 BBY,[1] the YT-1300 light freighter[2] known as the Millennium Falcon was pulled by tractor beam[3] into Docking Bay 327, the bay was put on lockdown and all its traffic was diverted into Docking Bays 328 and 329, causing a seven minute delay.[2] Shortly after the Falcon escaped, the docking bay was destroyed along with the rest of the Death Star during the Battle of Yavin.[3]
Behind the scenes
Docking Bay 329 was first mentioned in the short story "End of Watch," which was written by Adam Christopher and released as part of the From a Certain Point of View anthology[2] on October 3, 2017.[4]
