Dobi Deene

Dobi Deene was a jizz musician who wrote the song Wroonian Tramp. Deene's music was popular during the onset of the Clone Wars, when Wroonian tramp reached third in the charts.

Biography

Dobi Deene was a jizz^[1] musician whose music was popular during the onset of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. At one point in 22 BBY,^[2] the musician's unabashedly infectious song Wroonian Tramp topped out^[1] as the third best selling sound slug—a method of storing music—placing below only 11011101 2 by Plexo-33 and Stardance by Miracle Meriko. Deene's track did beat the songs Stark Memory by Lord Kavad and the Skaalite Orchestra and Does Anyone Weep? by Maxa Jandovar in terms of sales, which placed fourth and fifth respectively in the charts. Deene's chart position was reported in the fifty-third issue of the five hundred and thirty-first volume of the HoloNet News CoCo District Edition.^[2]

Dobi Deene was first mentioned in 2002 on Holonet News, a website written from an in-universe perspective which was published as part of the build-up to the film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. Deene's name was included on a top selling music chart, which was part of the homepage of the website in HoloNet News Vol. 531 53. Deene was mentioned again in Slugthrowers: An Overview of Popular Music and Musicians in a Galaxy Far, Far Away, an article written by Edward M. Erdelac and released on the StarWars.com blog in 2013.
