Djurmo was a blasted volcanic world[3] located in the Djurmo system, a part of the Strabin sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It was the homeworld of the sentient reptilian Huralok species, members of which spoke the Huralok language and became well-known during the reign of the Galactic Empire for piracy. Redkihl Rokk was a Huralok pirate from Djurmo.[3]
Between 12 ABY and 13 ABY, Djurmo was situated within the borders of the New Republic,[4] and at some point between 27 ABY and 29 ABY, the Djurmo system was conquered by the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong species as part of its invasion of the galaxy.[2]
Behind the scenes
Djurmo was first mentioned in the 2004 Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Roleplaying Game sourcebook Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds. The book placed it both in the Inner Rim and the Mid Rim.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas subsequently confirmed the Mid Rim placement and established that the Djurmo system, and therefore the world itself, was situated in grid square M-7.[2]
