Disney Parking Planet was a terrestrial planet with a breathable atmosphere, typically used by visitors to the Disney Playground Planet as parking space. Heavily built-out for spacecraft storage, the planet was orbited by at least five variously-colored moons, which were used for wayfinding. While mostly urbanized, the planet featured mountaintops and greenery, though to a limited extent.

The human mother Marge Simpson at one point brought several mothers and their children to the planet on the Jedi Ahsoka Tano's T-6 shuttle in preparation for a visit to the Disney Playground Planet, an occasion during which the alien Mickey skipped in line ahead of them to park in the human Bob Iger's spot.

Description

Disney Parking Planet was a gray-colored, somewhat rocky planet^[1] with a breathable, Type I atmosphere.^[2] While most of its landscape was urban, it also featured natural mountains. As a first-stop parking space for Disney Playground Planet visitors, the planet was extensively covered in spacecraft storage infrastructure featuring little greenery between its parking aisles.^[1]

It was orbited by at least five moons of various colors, including red, yellow, green, purple, and a lighter shade of blue. These natural satellites were used by individuals on the planet to aid in remembering where they parked their vehicles. Also orbiting the planet was a large informational sign in the High Galactic script of Galactic Basic Standard visible from afar, to instruct visitors to use the moons as navigational aid when returning to their starships.^[1]

Visiting starships formed a single, straight line when entering the heavily utilized planet, in which they needed to wait for preceding ships to then look for their parking spot. While some honked their horns in the queue, other individuals were known to skip the line. Vehicles that could be housed in the planet's sprawling parking facilities included starships such as T-6 shuttles and VCX-100 light freighters. It also featured dedicated spaces for speeders such as T-47 airspeeders and X-34 landspeeders.^[1]

History

During a Mother's Day outing, the human Marge Simpson led a number of other mothers and their children on Jedi Ahsoka Tano's T-6 shuttle to Disney Playground Planet, although, as noted by an individual known as the Evil Queen, they first needed to park Tano's ship on the Disney Parking Planet beforehand. They entered the line of starships waiting to land on the planet, while the alien Mickey skipped the line and took the human Bob Iger's reserved parking spot, for which a sign indicated an exception existed allowing for Mickey's use.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Disney Parking Planet was introduced in the non-canon short film The Simpsons: May the 12th Be With You,^[1] a Disney+ special released on May 10, 2024.^[3]
