Directional landing beacon

A directional landing beacon, also known as a directional guidance beacon^[1] and an automated beacon,^[2] was a device that transmitted fixed signals that starships used to orient themselves in space.

Drone barges were equipped with sensors that allowed them to home in on the beacons while in port.^[1]
