Dinube was a Harch who was an Elder in the Path of the Open Hand cult and was present in the Path compound on Dalna before and during the events of the Night of Sorrow[1] in 382 BBY.[2] When the leader of the Path, a woman called the Mother, fell ill, Elder Jichora sent for Dinube, who informed the Mother that she had experienced a seizure.[1]
Later, Yana Ro encountered Dinube in the nearby town of Ferdan, standing on a koyo-fruit box and berating passers-by for ignoring what the Path believed was the plight of the Force. Yana had previously considered Dinube a moderate voice in the Path community, but saw this behavior as just one sign of changes in the Path's beliefs and methods. Back in the Path's underground cavern system, Yana found Dinube checking over detonite explosives, which the Elder claimed were intended to open up further caves for Path use.[1]
