Dim Other's Senses was a Force power that combined both Alter and Sense disciplines. Targets affected by this power suffered a reduction in their perception of their surroundings, allowing individuals to hide or sneak past the affected target.
While on Ambria, a group of Sith Shadow Assassins used this power to dull Darth Bane's perceptions, nearly catching him off-guard and slaying him in their attack.[2] Nine hundred and ninety-nine years later, C'Baoth, the insane cloned Jedi Master, used this power against Luke Skywalker, keeping him too dimwitted and tried to realize his brutality and madness were not of the Jedi way, then nearly making Mara Jade go to sleep and crash her ship when she came to collect Luke.[3]
