Dewback burgers were a type of burger made using the meat of[1] the dewback, a creature native to the planet Tatooine.[2] In 22 BBY,[3] following a messy skirmish in Dex's Diner on the planet Coruscant, the Mirialan Servit asked the owner, Dexter Jettster, if he could have a dewback burger instead of the brakkenback stew he had been offered earlier as it had been strewn all over the floor during the fight.[4]
In 3 ABY,[5] when the Lepi criminal Jaxxon T. Tumperakki visited the Baron Administrator of the planet Bespin, Lando Calrissian, he noticed a case full of aurodium ingots, considering it enough for the business he hoped to set up with enough left over for a lifetime's supply of dewback burgers.[1]
Behind the scenes
The dewback burger was first mentioned in "Fake It Till You Make It," a short story written by Cavan Scott and published in the 2020 anthology From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.[1]
