The Derelict Hangar,[1] also known as the Landing Pad[2] was a hangar located on the planet Zeffo, used by the Galactic Empire. It was close to the Ice Caves and the Abandoned Village. During a mission to Zeffo as part of their mission to rebuild the Jedi Order, Cere Junda and Cal Kestis arrived at the hangar from the Stinger Mantis, piloted by Greez Dritus.[1]
History
By 14 BBY, the Empire arrived on the planet Zeffo and initiated Project Auger. Because of this, the Derelict Hangar became off-limits to anyone other than the Empire through Imperial Code 94364. The code also forbade trade or selling at the Derelict Hangar.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Derelict Hangar was created for the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts[1] on November 15, 2019.[3] The location was first revealed in the Xbox E3 Briefing of the game on June 10, 2019.[4] Concept art of the hangar was created by artists Bruno Werneck and Jean-Francois Rey.[2] Like with the rest of the game, the location is heavily influenced by 3D Metroidvania type design—an action-adventure subgenre defined by large, interconnected maps containing paths that could be unlocked as the player progresses through the game.[5] The hangar was the very first area that was developed for the game. In The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order reference book, the Derelict Hangar was referred to as the "Landing Pad."[2]
