Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A device built by the Rakata species was located on the planet Denab, and was malfunctioning during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire; it began generating new species of plants and animals.[1]
