Demi-slugs, once known as sand slugs, were a type of carnivorous slug that lived on the planet Metagos. Their biology was altered by the Great Storm, a radiation storm that devastated much of the world's surface and caused the slugs' skin to become brittle and glass-like. The Jedi Master Mace Windu encountered a group of demi-slugs during a mission to Metagos^[1] in 32 BBY.^[2]
