Deep Core Security Zone

The Deep Core Security Zone was an area of the galaxy's Deep Core which was controlled by the Galactic Empire. It was considered a sensitive region and access to the zone was restricted by the 15th Deep Core Reserve Fleet, operating out of nearby Empress Teta and was protected by the Imperial Hyperspace Security Net.

Despite Coruscant being the seat of Emperor Palpatine's power, evidence seems to point to the Security Zone having always been an easily defended fallback position for the Galactic Empire.

History

In the months following the end of the Clone Wars, hundreds of Imperial warships blockaded the region.
