Deathfinger monks

The Deathfinger monks were a group of monks. Shortly before the Battle of Geonosis^[1] in 22 BBY,^[2] a pair of humanoid Deathfinger monks drank at a table on the upper level of the Outlander Club on the planet Coruscant while plotting revenge against Greez Dritus,^[1] a Latero pilot and gambler.^[3] One monk wore an orange shirt, gray pants, and gray boots. The other wore a blue dress, white boots, and a piece of blue headwear.^[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Deathfinger monks were first depicted^[4] in an image illustrated by Hans Jenssen^[5] in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations.^[4] The group was then identified by a new caption added to the same image in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, New Edition.^[1] The new material in the book was written by Jason Fry and Emily Shkoukani.^[6] Although the monks were not identified in the Star Wars Legends continuity, the image they appear in was first used in the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.^[7]
