Daywings were a species of insect found on[1] the Mid Rim planet[2] Qiilura. Notable for their extremely short lifespan, daywings hatched in the morning and died by the evening. The ruby– and sapphire–colored insects were found on the Braan River and other small standing bodies of water on Qiilura[1] in 22 BBY.[3]
