Daws was a human pilot who worked for Cyn's crew. Before joining Cyn, Daws worked for the Hutt Clan, and at one point remarked that working for them was better than working for Cyn.[2] Sometime between 19 BBY and 4 ABY,[1] Daws was present for the ambush of Darth Vader on the abandoned ore-mining moon HS-197 in the Horox system. The crew's leader, Cyn, lured Vader to the moon by evoking his father's name, Vig Sendvall. Cyn used his cybernetics to exploit a vulnerability in Vader's armor and disable his motor functions. Members of the crew then chained him to a table in their chop shop with the intent of dismantling the Sith Lord's armor and selling it for parts. Soon, Vader began using the Force to slaughter individuals in the chop shop. Enough were killed that Cyn decided to take the radical approach of blowing up the chop shop with Vader inside since he was too dangerous to dissect slowly. Thus, Cyn called in Daws, who was in command of a shuttle, to blast their shop with the ship's laser cannons. Daws got in a volley, but Vader used the Force to commandeer the controls, forcefully crashing the ship into a group of crew members, killing Daws in the process.[2]
