"Get this—if you take the node address tinyf posted this from and track the databit history, you pull right to the node that the original data came from—it's a thaereian node, tee-aitch-dot-ex-one-dot-one-dot-three-dot-eight (thought I'd spell it out since your pathetic synapses don't seem to be able to fire in sequence long enough to follow even the simple bits of data history tinyf left for us—and if you didn't already know that "th" is the prefix for all the thaereian nodes, well, I just can't help you)."
―myrlinator, posting on the Cularin holonet node[1]

Databit history was a record that showed the origin of a message submitted via a holonet node. During the Clone Wars, the slicer Tiny.f shared on the Cularin holonet node what was purported to be a decrypted message sent by Jir Tramsig[1]the commander of Thaereian military forces in the Cularin system[2] to Thaereian naval commanders that highlighted a Thaereian plot to promote social and economic disruption in the Cularin system. By tracing the databit history of the post back to its point of origination, at Thaereian holonet node th.x1.1.3.8, the slicer myrlinator verified Tiny.f's claim that the communique originated from a Thaereian source.[1]

Sometime later, an intercepted message was shared on the Cularin holonet note that many users interpreted to be a report discussing the Almas Academy, a Jedi academy[3] that operated on the Cularin system planet Almas.[4]. The slicer alyssaroxu scrutinized the message and could find no databit history supporting its legitimacy.[3]
