The mother of Dass Leffbruk and wife of Spence Leffbruk was a female individual. She was killed in a shuttle accident when her son was a baby, during which Spence also received an injury which crippled his right arm. Spence promised his wife that he would look after Dass, a promise that he took very seriously.[2]
