"[Boles Roor] is scheduled for next week's Dasoor Challenge, which is to be held the day of the vote, weather permitting."
HoloNet News report[2]

Dasoor was a world located in the Dasoor system of the Agarix sector, a part of the Western Reaches portion of the Mid Rim. A hyperlane known as the Agarix Trade Route connected it to the Umthyg system of the nearby Juvex sector.[1]

Dasoor was a popular location for various circuits of the Podracing sport,[1] including the Dasoor Challenge, one of the best-known such events in the Mid Rim.[3] One instance of that race was scheduled, weather permitting, for the date 13:5:16.[2] By 43 ABY,[4] Dasoor's fame had given way to it becoming largely lawless and ruled by criminal gangs that were financed by parties in the Juvex sector.[1]

Behind the scenes

Dasoor's name was introduced as part of a mention of the Dasoor Challenge in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #55, a representation of an in-universe issue of the HoloNet News[2] written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens[5] and published on the HoloNet News website on May 9, 2002.[6] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas first established that Dasoor was a world and placed it in grid square K-18.[1]
