Darth Siberus was, according to legend, a female Sith who froze herself in carbonite.[1] She shared her name with the Sith artifact known as the Hand of Siberus.[2]

Biography

According to legend, Darth Siberus was a powerful Sith who at some point maintained an empire and managed to defeat all of her opponents. She thus came to fear the idea of growing old and no longer able to face a worthy opponent within the galaxy. Therefore, she came up with a plan to extend her own beauty and lifespan by sealing herself within carbonite and simply letting time pass in hibernation as her empire fell and became forgotten.[1]

As part of her plan, Siberus seeded stories about a wealthy princess all throughout Wild Space, in the hopes of attracting future explorers who would then try to find her and eventually wake her from hibernation. Once woken, Siberus would then steal the explorers' life energies to retain her beauty and lifespan. Afterwards, she would examine the galaxy and check if it was finally ready to be conquered.[1]

However, upon putting the plan into effect, Siberus would often find herself unsatisfied by the state of the galaxy after being awoken, thus leading herself to seal herself off again and again in the promise of finding a future time when she would be truly ready to conquer a galaxy to her liking, with a great hero worthy of being her opponent.[1]
