The Darkpath was a frigate utilized by the Black Sun criminal syndicate during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Adorned with a yellow Black Sun logo on the front, the ship was owned by the Black Sun boss Lord Gyuti. The ship had a large hangar that could accommodate many ships. There was a spacious room aboard that included a table and chairs that Lord Gyuti could use to receive guests. Droid attendants would assist with such visits.[1]
During her plot to destroy the Sith Lords Darth Sidious and Darth Vader, Crimson Dawn leader Lady Qi'ra traveled to the Darkpath in order to speak with Lord Gyuti, and offered the Dawn's services to Black Sun, as well as suggesting that Black Sun make a play to become a partner with the Empire.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Darkpath first appeared in the comic issue Crimson Reign 1,[1] the first of the Star Wars: Crimson Reign miniseries. The issue was written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Steven Cummings and Guru-eFX, and published by Marvel Comics on December 8, 2021.[2]
