- "A further nine people claimed to have married Palpatine in a variety of secret ceremonies, and one nineteen-year-old ensign on Corellia claimed that Palpatine had appeared to him in a vision and ordered him to take the throne. He was executed by an ISB loyalty officer."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Born around 15 BBY,[1] Dakous was an ensign in the Galactic Empire who was stationed on[2] the planet[3] Corellia. After the apparent death of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine at the Battle of Endor[2] in 4 ABY,[3] the nineteen-year-old ensign claimed to have received a vision of Palpatine telling him to take the Imperial throne.[2]
An Imperial Security Bureau loyalty officer then executed Dakous and a file on the ensign was created in the "Treasonous Pretenders" section of the Imperial Archives. The historian Beaumont Kin cited this when mentioning Dakous in[2] his[4] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire,[2] in 35 ABY.[5]
Behind the scenes
Dakous was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[2]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
