Daal's medal was an amulet owned by the young Force-sensitive human Daal. The Sith Mother used the medal to speak to Daal.
Description
Daal's medal[2] was a golden amulet attached to a string, creating a necklace. A Sith Lord known as the Sith Mother was able to speak and hear through the amulet.[1]
History

At some point, the young Force-sensitive human Daal received the amulet. While working at the Factory Workshop on a planet, Daal left the workhouse wearing the amulet around her neck. When asked by her friends Baython and Quinn where she was going, Daal clutched the medal in her hand and told them she was going to Screecher's Reach as another one of her friends Keena approached the group. After stealing some speeders from the workhouse, her friends joined her on the journey to the mountain.[1]
When they arrived at the mountain, Daal held the amulet in her hand when speaking to her friends as their campfire shined on the medal. Before entering the cave Daal put the medal back around her neck and held it close, saying she follows it's path with strength and courage. After having entered the cave, Daal confronted the Force-sensitive Screecher and once again held her medal and spoke to it once more, incorrectly assuring herself the Screecher was only in her mind. After being attacked by the Screecher with a crimson-bladed lightsaber, Daal attempted to escape the cave.[1]
Climbing up the side of the cave to an exit, the Screecher grabbed her ankle and dragged her down. Begging the amulet to give her strength, Daal used the Force to pull a jagged rock down on top of the Screecher, knocking her lightsaber from her hands. Daal then used the lightsaber to kill the Screecher. After leaving the cave, the Sith Mother spoke to Daal, declaring it was time for them to meet. The Sith Mother then landed on the planet in her starship.[1]
Behind the scenes
Daal's medal appeared in "Screecher's Reach," a non-canon short film released as part of the second volume of the Star Wars: Visions series, written by Will Collins and Jason Tammemägi and directed by Paul Young. The animated short, produced by Cartoon Saloon, was released on Disney+[1] on May 4, 2023.[3]
