DGS-286 was an HMP droid gunship that was classified as a heavy repulsorlift airspeeder,[1] reaching 12.3 meters in length, 11 meters in width, and 3.1 meters in height.[2] The droid gunship boasted a single heavy laser cannon and two dual medium laser cannons,[3] and was also equipped with concussion bombs, missiles, and a deflector shield generator.[2] A pair of two binocular rangefinders and rangefinder preprocessors aided DGS-286's long-range spatial and missile guidance systems. But on the forward hull, it received sensor capabilities from four long-range sensor ports and two red-colored photoreceptors.[3] DGS-286 was also equipped with ion-drive engines and repulsorlift generators.[2]

DGS-286 took part in the Clone Wars,[1] fought from 22 BBY to 19 BBY,[4] in the naval forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems against the Galactic Republic.[1] Constructed late in the conflict,[5] it was involved in an engagement with a Republic Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter. As it gave pursuit, it fired several of its missiles upon the starfighter.[1]

DGS-286 was introduced in the 2020 HMP Droid Gunship Expansion Pack to Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition miniatures game.[1]
