Cynagard

Cynagard was an overweight Sullustan who ran the best equipment shop in Doom City on Coruscant.^[1]

Like many of Doom City's merchants, Cynagard acted as a pawnbroker and a fence for stolen goods, and much of his stock was obtained this way.^[1]

Prices could be negotiated by haggling, and if buyers lacked the necessary credits, Cynagard might offer a loan, sometimes at punitive rates of interest.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Cynagard is mentioned in Il faut sauver Miss Pickalho, a French-language scenario for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game which appeared in Casus Belli magazine in March 1999. As this material was not approved through the Lucas Licensing process, it is considered non-canon.

In the original French-language text, Cynagard is described as selling le matériel courant, which roughly translates as "commonly-available equipment".^[1]

The implicit purpose of mentioning him in the scenario is to allow players' characters to obtain equipment they might need.
