The Cularin Government was the government of the planet Cularin.
History
The Cularin Government was a military government controlled by the Thaereian military to govern the Cularin system.[2] Around 31 BBY,[3] the Ithorian Herdship Bazaar traveled to Cularin and was toured by many local people, and a rumor circulated among the visitors that the Wyrd,[4] a coven of dark side Tarasin witches,[5] were infiltrating the Cularin Government.[4]
During the Clone Wars, some factions of the Cularin Government became concerned by the rapid mobilization of the Cularin Militia, a nationalist armed force led founded by Osten Dal'Nay.[6] Around this time, the Cularin Government was targeted by the anarchist group the Liana Liberators, who sliced the government's computer systems and illegally stole data.[7] The Wyrd and the Believers Sith cult colluded to devise a plan to falsely implicate the Cularin Government and Jedi Order as having had dealings with the Confederacy of Independent Systems and representatives of both groups met with the Confederacy to discuss how the scheme could be implemented.[8]
Following a debate by the Galactic Senate on the role of the Thaereian military on Cularin, the Galactic Republic awarded Cularin self-governance and expelled the Thaereian military from the system.[2]
