Crypt[1] was the nickname[2] of a location in the galaxy. After capturing the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron on Jakku, Captain Phasma of the First Order filed a report and stated the black box of Dameron's T-70 X-wing Starfighter was to be sent to Crypt for examination.[1]

Behind the scenes

Jason Fry, author of the "Star Systems of the Galaxy" appendix, indicated that Crypt was excluded from the appendix due to it being a nickname of a location.[2]
