Republic credit ingots
- "In ten minutes time, you'll be able to make a house out of credit ingots."
- ―Chelli Lona Aphra, to Beebox
Credit ingots were a physical form of credits,[1] the standard currency in the Galactic Republic[2] and later the Galactic Empire.[3] They were small, flat, rectangular bars of gold- and silver-colored metal, the silver ones being a bit longer than the gold ones. They had symbols stamped onto their surface, including the credit symbol (
).[4] Credit ingots could be stacked into blocks that held themselves together for transportation.[5]
Another means of carrying credits was through credit chips.[6]
