The Council of First Knowledge was one of the four councils of the Jedi Order in operation during the rule of the Galactic Republic. Its role was to procure advice on matters requiring ancient Jedi wisdom, including the curriculum of the Temple, and the Jedi Archives.[2] It also managed the Archives themselves, safeguarding manuscripts, data-tapes, and the Holocron Vault, while acquiring new knowledge from Jedi explorers. The Council was responsible for safely storing or destroying Sith artifacts.[3] Its councilors convened in the Tower of First Knowledge.[1]
