The Coruscant Rescue Ops was a fire department that existed only to serve the greater good of Galactic City, Coruscant, by providing disaster relief whenever necessary. They notably put out fires using emergency fire suppression speeders.[2]
History
Coruscant Rescue Ops used firespeeders to put out fires.
In 19 BBY,[4] the Coruscant Rescue Ops help put out flames from the immensely broken Invisible Hand as it was being guided down by Jedi General and Knight Anakin Skywalker, who was accompanied by his master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The pair had just rescued Chancellor Sheev Palpatine from General Grievous and Count Dooku. Due to complications when the Separatist ship had entered Coruscant's atmosphere, it was ablaze. Using emergency fire suppression speeders, the Coruscant Rescue Ops was able to help ensure the safety of the Chancellor as well his Jedi saviors.[5]
