A cortosis gauntlet was a protective gauntlet made with cortosis metal. A Sith known as "the Stranger" during the High Republic Era wore one such gauntlet on his left arm.[1] He utilized this gauntlet in a battle on Khofar, where it protected him from lightsaber strikes. The gauntlet was later destroyed by Yord Fandar when the young Jedi sliced through it with his lightsaber.[3]
