A concussion mine was a type of space mine. It was typically deployed as an anti-starfighter measure, and used potent explosives to create shockwaves capable of breaking open starship hulls. Concussion mines were sold for 500 credits.[1]

Behind the scenes

Concussion mines were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in No Disintegrations,[1] a 2017 supplement for the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2] They originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, and were first mentioned in The Free-Trader's Guide to Sevarcos,[3] a 1994 roleplaying game article written by Anthony P. Russo for the second issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal, published by West End Games.[4]
